We took horses from Kagbeni to Muktinath togive our ‘over-worked’ legs a break
Muktinath (3,800m)After a 3-hr nail-biting-heart-cringing journey with
lots of screaming and laughter in between,
we finally arrived in Muktinath
At the hotel in Muktinath (above and below)

Going up the steep slopeThere were times when ‘my heart was in my mouth’!

Our lives were ‘hanging at the edge of the cliff’, literally!
Along the Kali Gandaki (River)The screams faded as our energy depleted,
confidence boosted, and fear alleviated.
Back in Jomsom, safe and sound
While the men were having a balldrinking beer downstairs (in the hotel)…
…the ladies were having as much fun upstairs, recounting the experience of a lifetime
With Krishna and the portersOutside the hotel in Jomsom
Scenery along the way
Nepal’s Shangri-la?
